Indiana University Health (Lifeline)
IU Health Lifeline is housed at the Terre Haute Regional Airport Hulman Field. This critical service operates a fleet of well-equipped medical helicopters and Mobile Intensive Care Units that provide the ability to care for critically ill patients in situations when others cannot. This critical service operates from their hangar 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Lugar Center works closely with its partners, including the Indiana University School of Medicine, to recruit medical students and family medicine residents who have interests in rural practice, to train them in the details of rural medicine, and to assist them in establishing practices with resources to sustain rural healthcare delivery.

The new Terre Haute VA Clinic is a modern outpatient facility at 5080 East Bill Farr Drive in Terre Haute, Indiana, designed to better serve local veterans with comprehensive healthcare services. The clinic offers primary care, mental health services, specialty care (including audiology, physical therapy, optometry), and an on-site pharmacy in one convenient location, helping reduce travel burdens for veterans who previously had to go to larger centers for care. It represents a significant investment in expanding access and quality of care for the area’s veteran community.
